May I welcome the Citroen Xsara Owners Club to GTi-6.co.uk. Many thanks to the MODERATORS on that site constantly posting abuse towards myself and this website. How dare I try and help people looking into buying a GTi-6, how dare I create a Buyers Guide, post videos and experiences of 5 years with my GTi-6, I’m such a fool!!!!!!!!!
Since the abuse started it appears the moderator who started all this has vanished, the guys at 306gti6.com have stepped in to back me up and the majority of people on CXOC have stopped the abuse. Why it started in the first place I’ve no idea, just childish keyboard warriors I’m guessing.
Anyway, if you wish to comment on my site, complain about the advice, ridicule the videos and generally call me a retard, please go ahead, I’ll be sure to file all comments under “Jealous Xsara Owners”.

Been on a 2 hour drive round Matlock, Darley Dales etc, loving the weather and awesome roads. Get back near home and the rear brakes start to sound weird, like theres a stone lodged in em, so take it steady just in case. 100 yards later BANG and see my brake pad fly off the car in the rear view mirror. Pump the pedal to get some braking back and nurse back home, into the garage, where it’ll stay till next weekend when I can be arsed to fix it.
Only fitted these rear pads about 4 month back for the MOT, done maybe 2k in em fine. Fitted myself so know they were done properly, seems weird! Maybe got way to hot and destroyed em as they were only cheap pads?
Anyway, someone recommend me some decent pads please? Prob need discs to, see pic! Actually, looking at the pic it seems that thin bar has vanished to!?
